Waaaaaaaaaaay back in September of 2016, I decided to start on a personal project for the house: our dining table. So much happens at the kitchen table. Whether it’s eating or playing a board game or paying bills or making a grocery list or having a deep conversation or hanging out with friends, so much happens at the table. I really wanted to do something special. I found a picture of a table that I thought would be fun to copy with a few modifications to make it work for our tiny house.
After what seems like an eternity, we finally got around to putting up our shower walls. We finished the shower floor around a year ago, but other projects needed to be taken care of before we could tackle the walls. Finally, it was time to finish up the shower and the plumbing fixtures. We’ve been pretty excited about these walls for a while, so it was really fun to see them finally go up and complete our vision.
Oh, hey there! We’re just jumping right in on this post since my goal is to knock out a few of these all at once to catch up. This one is quick, so, let’s get to it!
After finishing up the kitchen, it was time to move into the living room. Since our living room is so small, the only thing we needed to work on was our couch. A couch is such a natural place to incorporate storage, and we obviously wanted to take advantage of the space. Two posts in one week…WHAT IS HAPPENING?!?! What’s happening is that I’m staying up too late to bring you all the good news about our stairs: we now have them!
It’s time to post the follow up to our first Kitchen update. We’ve been working on several projects at once, but we finally have our kitchen cabinets looking great. The cabinets have been one of our hardest projects so far. Because there are so many moving parts, everything has to fit together perfectly, be perfectly level and square, and function correctly. It took us a few tries to get it right.
You guys. YOU GUYS. I am soooo behind! This blog is so out of date! Yikes. Yikes. Yikes.
Just assume from now on that I am always about 3 to 4 months behind schedule in updating this thing. Anyone who comes to visit us is always surprised by how far along we are on the house, because of course, the blog is so behind. So….if you want to really see how the house is coming along you should just stop by and say hello! Any excuse for a visit, right? Now, on to updates! This post is about our floors. This was a project I took on by myself, so in all honestly, we’re lucky this even came out right.
